Hong Kong!

We made it! After 21 hours of travel, we stumbled into our friends Kevin and Malcolm while crossing Austin Rd. At Kevin's apartment we were greeted by the smell of his latest purchases: sweet opium incense and a questionable chicken head.
We then stole a mattress from the roof and slept a lot. The apartment is small but next to a park and a lot of food shops. There are McDonalds everywhere, even in the center of the park. Gross!
Today its hot and foggy; we strolled through Kowloon park, stopping to see flamingos, exotic birds and little school children in matching uniforms. We went grocery shopping and got oatmeal, noodles and chunky aloe juice.
Tomorrow we are going to the art and history museum before heading to the horse races where we will relax in the beer garden and win lots of money!

Here is a photo of Maddie working it in Kevin's apartment; 5 people is a squeeze. We had to play human tetris to fit us all.

PS Ellie's linen pants= quality purchase, comfy and spreading the gypsy in this chic metropolis.
